Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental site assessments of commercial and industrial sites to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Perform due diligence reviews of multi-site portfolios for attorneys, lenders, developers, and industrial clients to identify potential environmental risks and develop recommendations for risk management.
- Complete limited environmental compliance reviews of industrial sites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Review site investigation reports and provide conclusions and opinions related to the extent of contamination, recommendations, and development of scopes of work for site investigation activities.
- Prepare technical reports that effectively communicate site findings and provide recommendations for environmental remediation and risk management.
- Formulate conclusions and opinions and communicate with clients to ensure that their environmental and health and safety needs are met.
- Travel to industrial and commercial facilities for site visits to gather data and assess environmental conditions.
- Support multiple projects and meet high quality standards to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support client environmental and health and safety permitting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete environmental and social due diligence services for international financing of large infrastructure projects to identify potential environmental and social risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Geologic Engineering), Environmental Science or Environmentally-Related Field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Understanding of the Phase I ESA requirements and the due diligence process.
- Possess knowledge of multi-media environmental compliance topics and general understanding of Mexican federal and state regulations.
- Classwork or experience with site assessment and investigation, contaminant fate and transport, pollution control and design, regulatory policy, and GIS mapping a plus.
- Willingness/ability to travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver's license.
- Physical requirements of the position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
