About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the strategic development, tactical implementation, and financial planning components of all Sales and Marketing related topics within our Brand Strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to manage customer and other commercial activities, leading and coaching Sales Force to maximize brand sales and margin while ensuring alignment with AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies as per Brand Plan, including commercial strategy development, execution, and delivery of sales performance to maximize or exceed brand sales and margin within expense budgets.
- Leverage your expertise to optimize resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching Sales Team performance, setting sales targets, managing Sales Force Management Systems, and Key Performance Indicators to continuously improve sales performance.
- Hold accountability for allocated Brand P&L in terms of brand sales and financial planning, ensuring alignment with Company goals.
- Cultivate future direction for existing and new products and business opportunities to drive maximum business results.
- Effectively manage cross-functional cooperation between key stakeholders, build multidisciplinary In Field Teams, and ensure timely market intelligence information flow to Brand Teams.
- Develop talent and succession plans to ensure continuous high-performance talent pipeline in Sales and Marketing.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A proven track record of success in marketing and sales leadership within biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with relevant oncology experience.
- Strong business acumen, ability to develop business vision, translate into strategies, and actionable execution actions.
- Proven leadership, management, and coaching skills, with a focus on team development and performance management.
- Excellent working knowledge of healthcare environment and evolving landscape.
- Solid understanding of strategic and tactical marketing and sales principles and techniques.
- Operates effectively in a matrix structure.
