Transformative DevOps Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of developers in delivering robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to design and implement cloud-native technologies, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure design, implementation, and delivery processes to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive business value and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, with a strong background in cloud-native technologies and infrastructure design
  • 4+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, as well as container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring tools, such as Splunk or Zabbix, and Agile Development Practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 9+ years of DevOps Engineering experience, with a strong focus on cloud-native technologies and infrastructure design
  • 6+ years of experience with coding and scripting, including languages like Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby
  • 4+ years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and delivery, with a focus on cloud-native technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools, such as Splunk or Zabbix, and container orchestration services like Docker or Kubernetes
