About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at General Motors. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining awareness of quality standards and communicating department quality goals to ensure the highest level of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and follow systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
  • Participate in the selection of new employees and train, develop, and evaluate salaried and hourly employees
  • Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes across multiple departments and serve as a lead resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas
  • Meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements
  • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety, and housekeeping
  • Motivate, train, and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods
  • Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training)
  • Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Licenciatura en Administración, Gestion Empresarial, Ing Industrial, mecatronica, mecánica, automatización, Sistemas
  • 2-3 años de experiencia liderando de equipos
  • Experiencia en supervisión de personal
  • Experiencia en plantas de manufactura
  • Disponibilidad para rolar turnos
  • Inglés intermedio
