NXP Semiconductors is seeking an experienced Automotive Applications Engineer to join our team. As part of our R&D organization, this role represents the primary technical interface between our team and Field Applications and Sales engineering teams worldwide.
This technical position interacts with multiple global groups within NXP, requiring the development of a technical skillset in a customer-facing environment. Key responsibilities include working as part of a globally distributed team, collaborating with local teams, and collaborating with R&D, field application engineers, and marketing teams to understand and defend customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical skills in a customer-facing environment.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams and local teams.
- Work with R&D, field application engineers, and marketing teams to understand and defend customers' needs.
- Lead the execution of the new product development process, planning, coordinating, and executing deliverables.
- Validate key IP blocks to ensure proper functionality and documentation.
- Develop demo applications and reference designs to showcase NXP product advantages.
- Provide feedback to marketing, systems, and design teams with valuable improvement proposals.
- Provide highly technical support to customers, field applications engineers, sales, and marketing worldwide.
- Collaborate on developing/revising documentation, testing software versions, stacks, and operating systems, creating training, and testing silicon modules and software drivers.
