**Job Summary**
As a key member of the Jabil Circuit team, the Manufacturing Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering Department in achieving operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Test and Quality Engineering leads to optimize, improve, and execute manufacturing processes to plan.
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineers and Machine Support Engineers, coordinating day-to-day activities in support of the manufacturing plan.
- Display expert knowledge of the corporate Manufacturing Engineering environment and share information with the Manufacturing Engineering function.
- Drive efficiencies in current technical systems, manage the development of new technical systems, and support the Engineering Manager in evaluating equipment needs.
- Undertake technology benchmarking and drive 'best in class' engineering solutions, leading and managing the Manufacturing Engineering Function.
- Agree clear performance metrics, review performance metrics and progress continuously, and effectively prepare for and perform informal 1-to-1s and annual appraisals.
- Identify training and development needs, provide 1-to-1 coaching, and facilitate individual excellence.
- Drive a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the Manufacturing Engineering function, create and manage a succession plan, and drive motivation levels.
- Ensure an effective forum for the exchange of ideas and information exists within the Manufacturing Engineering function, review absence profiles, and employee turnover.
- Facilitate and coach Manufacturing Engineers and Machine Technicians, build and maintain effective customer relationships, and support business development.
