Purpose Statement: As the site management representative for engineering at Plexus, this position directs, reviews, communicates, and drives improvements to processes and procedures to support the manufacturing, testing, and process controls of products. The role coordinates activities of the Engineering Department to ensure seamless execution of the company's goals.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop and drive major improvement programs in the areas of quality, output, yield, and cost reduction to enhance the company's competitiveness.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Engineering metrics and standardization per SOP, WIs, and SFTs to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage the site capability roadmap to align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of technology capabilities, including Clean Energy, Industry 4.0, and Automation, to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Oversee Failure Analysis Capabilities, Design for X (DFx), and Problem-Solving initiatives to ensure robust and reliable products.
  • Develop and maintain Capacity Models for SMT, PTH, HLA, and Facilities to optimize production and resource allocation.
  • Identify and evaluate potential talent, drive succession planning, and ensure employees receive development and coaching to realize their full potential.
  • Drive process and test performance improvement throughout the facility to meet or exceed company standards.
  • Manage and coordinate capital asset forecasts and approved equipment, including upgrade and replacement plans for production equipment and facilities systems, and long-range facility planning.
  • Develop, track, and report on budgets, department metrics, and department objectives to ensure transparency and accountability.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related experience as an Engineering Manager, preferably in the Healthcare Manufacturing Industry.
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience.
  • Fluent English.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
