As a Team Leader I - Manufacturing Operations at Corning Inc., you will play a critical role in driving the success of our manufacturing operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the plant plan objectives at the tactical level, focusing on continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Direct team operations to achieve Cost, Quality, Health, and Safety objectives.
- Provide immediate supervision to subordinates, ensuring they execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Review team performance with team members at regular intervals, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Build effective relations with plant support groups, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Conduct hourly/direct labor employee performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Ensure team executes documented operating procedures and follows established document control protocols.
- Implement and monitor training and certification plans, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Hold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and setpoints for process control, ensuring awareness and compliance to changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1 year of previous supervisory experience.
- Basic problem-solving skills, including Lean and KT methodologies.
- 1 year of experience with industrial labor relations, including union or union-free environments.
