Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer (Programming) to enhance our innovative teams dedicated to developing exceptional products and driving our expansion.

In this role, reporting to the Project Manager , the Automation Engineer (Programming) will be tasked with the specification, design, and upkeep of automation machinery, tools, and applications to meet operational requirements.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes, with a preference for knowledge in metal fabrication methods (such as Punching, Bending, Assembly, etc.).
  • Programming and configuring programmable logic controllers (PLC), robots/Cobots, vision systems, and various automation devices.
  • Integrating, testing, and troubleshooting automation systems with existing machinery and workflows.
  • Creating technical documentation, including manuals, schematics, models, training materials, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting guides for automated systems.
  • Ensuring machine availability through routine preventive maintenance and responsive repair work.
  • Committing to continuous learning and skill enhancement across diverse automation technologies.
  • Providing constructive feedback to refine process and equipment design.
  • Overseeing daily departmental operations to optimize equipment use and meet production demands.
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts with other departments such as engineering and operations to ensure smooth departmental functioning.
  • Collaborating on the planning, construction, and maintenance of the Automation framework and related processes for new product lines.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance the automation efficiency of current processes.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and offering innovative automation solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient English communication skills.
  • Experience in programming PLCs, HMIs, Robots, and Cobots.
  • Familiarity with sensors and vision systems programming.
  • Knowledge of mechanical tolerances for equipment design.
  • Understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematics, including 2D and 3D interpretations.
  • Experience in industrial sheet metal design suitable for mechanical fabrication (including material selection, hardening processes, and tolerance specifications).
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
