Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer (Programming) to enhance our innovative teams that develop exceptional products and drive our expansion.

Reporting to the Project Manager , the Automation Engineer (Programming) will be tasked with the specification, design, and upkeep of automation machinery, tools, and applications necessary to fulfill operational requirements.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for manufacturing processes, with a preference for knowledge in metal fabrication techniques (such as Punching, Bending, Assembly, etc.).
  • Programming and configuring programmable logic controllers (PLC), robots, Cobots, vision systems, and various automation devices.
  • Integrating, testing, and troubleshooting automation systems with current equipment and workflows.
  • Creating technical documentation, including manuals, drawings, models, training materials, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting guides for automated systems.
  • Ensuring machine availability through routine preventive maintenance and addressing breakdowns as needed.
  • Committing to continuous learning and skill enhancement across all types of automation technologies.
  • Providing constructive feedback to improve equipment and process designs.
  • Overseeing daily departmental operations to optimize equipment usage and support production demands.
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless departmental functionality.
  • Collaborating on the planning, construction, and maintenance of the automation framework and related processes for new products.
  • Identifying and implementing changes to enhance the automation efficiency of existing processes.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and proposing effective automation solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient English communication skills.
  • Experience in programming PLCs, HMIs, Robots, and Cobots.
  • Familiarity with sensors and vision systems programming.
  • Knowledge of mechanical tolerances for equipment design.
  • Understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematics, including 2D and 3D interpretations.
  • Experience in industrial sheet metal design for mechanical systems (e.g., material selection, hardening treatments, tolerance specifications, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
