Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality strategies to meet customer and quality-related targets for new projects.
- Conduct statistical analysis, presentations, and data analysis to collect, evaluate, and communicate data for new products in the new product introduction process.
- Perform capability studies for new products and processes, and identify customer requirements for new and modified products.
- Guide problem-solving processes for significant internal issues, assess risk of customer issues at key junctures in product development, and report and assess reliability testing results for new products.
- Lead APQP efforts for product transfers with cross-functional teams, utilizing quality tools for Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Lead and contribute to quality systems and activities, including manufacturing sample lot quantities, PPAPs, control plans, P-FMEA, capability studies, SPC, Gage R&R, problem-solving, and preventive quality actions at receiving manufacturing facilities.
- Utilize tools such as root cause analysis through 8D problem-solving, design of experiment, and poka-yoke to ensure quality levels remain unchanged or improved.
- Participate in validation test plans for quantity, test length, and test type for each product family with product engineering, and track and report product quality performance showing impact by product family or SKU.
- Communicate and implement quality initiatives at manufacturing facilities.
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or Project Quality Engineer.
- Customer experience launching products with Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Tesla, and Stellantis.
- Working knowledge of Product Delivery Process and tools.
- Problem-solving skills using the 8D methodology.
- ISO TS certification.
- APQP and PPAP methodologies.
- GD&T reading.
- Core tools.
- Fixtures/Gauges design and manufacture.
- Microsoft Office tools proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Five years of work experience in the automotive or similar industry.
- Three years of work experience in Quality, Program Management, Engineering, or Operations.
