Job Summary

The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of educational programs at the National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement Inc. This includes curriculum design, instructional team oversight, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Design and Implementation: Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of students and align with the organization's goals.
  • Instructional Team Oversight: Lead and manage the instructional team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Policy Development: Develop and refine policies related to grading, student externship attendance, and instruction/curriculum policies.
  • Student Orientation: Create and implement orientation programs for students, ensuring a smooth transition into the educational program.
  • Seminars and Interactive Week: Organize and lead seminars and interactive week activities, working closely with the Clinical Director to ensure a cohesive and engaging experience for students.
  • Grading and Evaluation: Oversee the grading and evaluation process, ensuring that it is fair and consistent.
  • Certification Exam: Work with instructors to design and implement online resources for the certification exam, ensuring that students have the necessary tools to succeed.
  • Technology and Online Learning: Lead the implementation of online learning systems, ensuring that they are user-friendly and effective.
  • Student Support: Work with the Student Services Manager to provide support to students, addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
  • Externship Organization Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with externship organizations, ensuring that students have access to quality externship experiences.
  • Graduation: Develop and implement the graduation plan, ensuring that all students meet the necessary criteria for graduation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the regulatory compliance lead to ensure that the educational program meets all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with evidence of educational programming in both clinical and education domains.
  • Minimum of 3 years' prior experience in healthcare as a clinical care team member.
  • Minimum of 3 years' prior experience as an educator, including instructing, curriculum development, and administration experience.
  • Ability to develop and leverage analytics/metrics to understand and improve trends in enrollment and student success.
  • Current State Licensure or certification associated with specific clinical education/role preferred.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Ability to effectively conduct extended training sessions, both in-person and via virtual sessions.
Additional Qualifications
  • Confidentiality of Information: Maintain confidentiality of business and patient information according to NIMAA/MWHS policies.
