About the Role

Regional Procurement Governance Manager Americas

This role is responsible for ensuring operational adherence to policy and regulations across all countries in the Americas region. As a key member of the procurement team, you will work closely with businesses and monitor their activities, reflecting on global and regional partnerships. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting policy and regulations for the regional market, supporting the regional procurement head in local adaptations and implementing global governance policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay up-to-date with external and internal governance regulations and standards, translating them into local procurement policies and regulations for Direct and Indirect Material.
  • Introduce and implement practices to ensure company compliance.
  • Develop a lean control system to monitor Governance requirements.
  • Assess compliance risks arising from local supply chains.
  • Compile reports of policy or regulatory breaches on country and hub levels.
  • Act as regional/local process owner for the adoption of global processes, methods, and tools (ARIBA) rolled out in all countries in AM.
  • Become a trusted advisor within Siemens Energy, ensuring awareness through mandatory and optional training schemes.
  • Contribute to international change and procurement cross-business projects.
  • Manage ESG (Environmental, Social, and Government) Procurement-related activities in the HUB, ensuring compliance with our Sustainability program and facilitating global targets and standards.
Requirements
  • A sound bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, law, or equivalent.
  • More than 5 years of governance management expertise, ideally in procurement.
  • Strong experience in global governance policies and local specifications of the Americas region market, procurement methods and tools, and outstanding analytical and process knowledge of global organizations.
  • Effective project management and conflict resolution skills, good portion of self-confidence, strong communication skills, and social aptitude.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), Portuguese nice to have.
