We are seeking a skilled Logistics Materials Specialist to join our team at General Motors. In this role, you will be responsible for executing deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives.
**Key Accountabilities:**
- Guide key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas, including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers.
- Support relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
- Analyze complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross-functional environment to successfully resolve issues, minimizing impacts to vehicle production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
- Handle complex capacity constraint issues to resolution, with a goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
- Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
- Be flexible and work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
- Travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's Degree: Industrial Engineer or any related engineering.
- Available to change shifts (5x2) and work on site as the position requires.
- Strong soft skills of communication, team leadership, and problem-solving.
- Required experience in a similar position from 1 to 3 years.
- English level: Advanced.
