Our Optical Communications division has transitioned from solely manufacturing optical fiber and cable, hardware, and equipment to becoming a comprehensive provider of leading optical solutions across the wider communications sector. This division is categorized into two primary product categories – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product category primarily includes products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data, and voice communications. The enterprise network product category mainly consists of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governmental entities, and individuals for their own use.

Position Overview:
The IT SAP EWM Analyst will be tasked with supporting enterprise-level applications. The systems utilized for development include SAP S/4 Private Instance.

Role Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will serve as an operational support specialist within the newly established Global S4 HANA team, which is part of the strategic ERP Transformation Organization. You will engage with an international organization that boasts a rich history and numerous divisions and subsidiaries worldwide. This is an opportunity to embark on a significant journey with us as we optimize and expand through the advantages of the SAP S/4 HANA application operating in a private cloud environment. You will collaborate with colleagues from various regions, lead meetings, and take charge of the SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) workstream, focusing on the NAFTA region.

Key Qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • EWM stream - Ability to demonstrate S/4 HANA processes in Extended Warehouse Management.
  • Experience in EWM implementation and customization.
  • Familiarity with key integration areas of supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • Experience in S4 Conversion, workflow, interfaces, and EDI.
  • Strong analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure, especially during system outages.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct working sessions with business users as necessary.
  • Work alongside the Basis team during troubleshooting, providing guidance as needed.
  • Proficient in researching and applying OSS notes to resolve issues.
  • Must become adept at using our ticketing system – ServiceNow.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision, adhering to Corning's established coding standards.
  • Support operations teams in break/fix activities and other assignments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team/organization, meeting SLA commitments defined by IT and agreed upon by the organization.
  • Analyze software requirements to assess design feasibility.
  • Develop software systems, including programming, documentation, and testing procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4.
  • Proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Architecture Knowledge, and Technical Solution Design.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills to assist in RICEF creation and design documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) - Ability to demonstrate S/4 HANA processes for Extended Warehouse Management.
  • Knowledge of inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, including put away, picking, and receipt.
  • Experience with inbound delivery, outbound delivery processing, wave and queue processing, warehouse monitor usage, and PPF action.
  • Familiarity with SAP EWM Master Data.
  • Experienced SAP S4 HANA EWM/Extended Warehouse Management Lead Consultant capable of identifying and resolving complex technical issues within our customer service-level agreements.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in other SAP modules.
  • Development experience (ABAP is a strong plus).
  • Fiori and Adobe Forms proficiency.
  • Proficiency in debugging complex programs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong teamwork, written and verbal communication skills in English, and customer service orientation.
  • Must be a self-starter with robust analytical thinking skills, capable of working independently.
