Role Overview

The Project Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all activities align with corporate standards and project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely reviews and updates on project activities to management.
  • Assist in financial planning and budget oversight, encompassing both direct and indirect costs, labor, equipment, materials, and additional expenditures.
  • Establish and adjust project cash flow, forecasting monthly payments for all suppliers, general contractors, and design management firms.
  • Manage the construction site inventory, ensuring all materials and equipment are monitored and controlled effectively.
  • Oversee and validate all billing invoices related to the project.
  • Generate and distribute cost control reports, comparing actual performance against baseline and forecasts, including cash flow and financial S-Curve analysis.
  • Support the Risk Management process through qualitative and quantitative assessments, developing risk response strategies and conducting simulations.
  • Analyze and report on the Cost Performance Index (CPI), reviewing key metrics to ensure optimal project performance throughout execution and operational phases.
  • Conduct detailed evaluations of project performance, focusing on key metrics such as Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and productivity tracking.
  • Ensure the accuracy of essential project metrics in a timely manner, adhering to corporate guidelines and recognized project management standards.
  • Facilitate the project change management process, confirming that impacts remain within the approved budget to prevent overcommitments.
  • Contribute to the tender process, ensuring proposals align with the established budget.
  • Leverage internal projection systems to enhance project control dashboards for both Global and Local Teams.
  • Provide valuable insights to the Project Manager regarding the compilation, submission, and negotiation of contract variations.
  • Maintain control over all project-related documents to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Manage access to confidential documents and ensure timely updates in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Prepare systems and documentation for audits, fostering an audit-ready mindset within the team.
