Job Description

The Amazon Prime Video team is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. As a key leader for Amazon's Latin America Digital Video team, you will manage the original content production in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the LatAm Production Finance team by providing weekly reports on production finance status, PO, funding, and relevant information.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between multiple original television productions and Amazon Studios' finance team.
  • Partner with other members of the Prime Video LatAm team and third-party local production services companies.
  • Review production budgets, cost reports, trial balances, and petty cash reconciliations prepared by show accountants.
  • Work with show accountants to drive accurate, complete, and timely cost reporting, protecting and managing show assets and supporting production.
  • Collaborate with Line Producers, Production Managers, Production Accounting Staff, and the Amazon Production team to prepare all financial reports, ensure proper reconciliation of accounts, and ensure production's cash flow and payment needs are met.
  • Manage production incentive workflow and ensure receipt of tax credits or cash. Manage cash flow and funding processes.
  • Develop and improve financial reporting processes, controls, and policies.
  • Create and drive innovative solutions to enable the finance organization to maintain effective controllership in a high-growth business.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of Tableau.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
