Accountant III Role at AIG

AIG is a global leader in commercial and personal insurance solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Accountant III to join our team. As an Accountant III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for our Mexico entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards.
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial results, including variance analysis, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the GL Accounting Lead and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business colleagues and external auditors.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and implement these changes in our financial reporting processes.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Experience with shared service centers and internal controls is a plus.
