Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Capital Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and direct patient calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, including outpatient tests and surgeries
  • Prepare patient charts and paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-payments and outstanding balances
  • Refers patients to CBO staff for past due balances and other issues
  • Reviews and complies with patient account notes and appointment notes in the system
  • Confirms charges and approves claim creations in the system
  • Schedules follow-up appointments and creates appointment ticklers in the system
  • Completes referrals and pre-authorizations as required
  • Performs clerical duties, including processing mail and maintaining statistics
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience as a receptionist or clerk in a healthcare environment or one year customer service experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Medical assistant or medical office technician certification preferred
