Role Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for maintaining and operating a variety of machines and equipment, including hand tools, to carry out routine tasks. This position requires the ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions, as well as to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain machines and equipment
  • Use hand tools and other equipment as required
  • Move materials and parts to and from work areas via power lift trucks and forklifts
  • Ensure a smooth flow of production
  • Solve production and technological problems

Requirements:

  • Basic shop math skills
  • Ability to read and follow route sheets/Blueprints
  • Ability to train new machine operators
  • High level of organization skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Experience in machining or similar field
  • Experience using and interpreting precision measuring instruments
  • Basic computer skills
