Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join as an eHW CAD Librarian. The eHW CAD Librarian will generate component models for automotive electronics applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create component footprint geometry and electrical symbols primarily using Mentor Graphics tools.
  • Understand and interpret component package drawings (ASME Y14.5, etc)
  • Interface with requesting EEs, other librarians, the Manufacturing Technology Team, and program management, all on a global scale
  • Review and test CAD geometry created by other ECAD librarians.
  • Manage component data in library database (accessed globally)
  • Follow all approved BorgWarner ECAD processes to maintain library data integrity
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree in engineering field, electrical or mechanical engineering (Preferred)
  • 2+ years Mentor Graphics xPedition or similar tool (Preferred)
  • 2+ years Mentor Graphics EDM Librarian Cockpit or similar tool (Required)
  • 2+ years mechanical CAD tools (NX, Autodesk tools) (Preferred)
  • Valor DRC
  • MS Office Experience
