Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is in search of a dynamic and results-oriented individual to take on the role of eHW CAD Librarian. The eHW CAD Librarian will be responsible for generating component models specifically for automotive electronics applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop component footprint geometries and electrical symbols primarily utilizing Mentor Graphics tools.
- Interpret and understand component package drawings (ASME Y14.5, etc.).
- Collaborate with requesting Electrical Engineers, fellow librarians, the Manufacturing Technology Team, and program management on a global scale.
- Review and validate CAD geometries created by other ECAD librarians.
- Oversee component data within the library database, accessible globally.
- Adhere to all approved BorgWarner ECAD processes to ensure the integrity of library data.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma is required; an Associate's Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering, is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience with Mentor Graphics xPedition or similar tools is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Mentor Graphics EDM Librarian Cockpit or similar tools is required.
- 2+ years of experience with mechanical CAD tools (NX, Autodesk tools) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Valor DRC.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
