Key Responsibilities:

This role will play a pivotal part in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct management of Citi facilities, Citi occupied properties, and security staff at those facilities as delegated by the Regional Director of Security.
  • Overseeing activities of security operations staff to safeguard premises and employees against risk of unauthorized entry, fire, theft, vandalism, and opportunities for criminal activities.
  • Enforcing security rules and safety standards, reviewing security or safety-related incidents, and ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to correct any deficiencies or errors.
  • Ensuring that security procedures are enforced and that all security personnel are trained to respond to emergency situations.
  • Interacting with other departments on issues involving security and safety functions.
  • Conducting training, operational readiness exercises, and ensuring that security staff is well-practiced and rehearsed in the execution of security operations, drills, assignments, and day-to-day functioning of security systems.
  • Maintaining CSIS systems, staff, and equipment in a state of perpetual readiness to meet or surpass requirements of both internal and external audits.
  • Demonstrating basic knowledge of vendor and invoice management.
  • Operating with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgement and autonomy, and acting as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree, associate's degree plus equivalent work experience, or high school diploma plus equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in adhering to current security protocols, operations manuals, and guides.
  • Proven ability to foster relationships and interface with external agencies to promote functional excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in making sound judgements at a moment's notice.
  • Maintenance of corporate assets, including lease vehicles and equipment, in a state of perpetual readiness to meet or surpass requirements.
  • Basic understanding of security vulnerabilities and the ability to suggest preventative measures to assist in the mitigation of these potential risks.
  • Experience working with security and safety technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow security and safety instructions and procedures, reporting anything out of the ordinary to management and obeying rules and regulations set out in delegations of duty, verbal instructions, and company policies.
  • Relevant experience in a private/public sector security environment.
  • Professional security certifications.
  • Experience working in a corporate or financial services security team.
  • Flexibility to work on-call off hours/weekends.

Education:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
