About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales and Inventory Optimization Specialist to join our team at Ikano-Retail. As a key member of our Supply Chain and Logistics department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of our inventory and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize commercial needs and activities with inventory management processes.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Supply Support Manager to support the commercial team and serve as a communication link between the store and the Country Supply & Availability team.
  • Act as the main contact partner in the store for all range administration and operational supply-related questions for the store commercial team and Country Supply Availability team.
  • Maximize successful store replenishment by driving the actions of forecasting and ordering to ensure they align with the commercial calendar and within the store capacity.
  • Contribute to stock accuracy by supporting the Goods Flow Manager with the stock discrepancies analysis as part of the inventory management process.
  • Produce necessary follow-ups for the commercial and management team regarding operational processes in the store, including forecast accuracy, phasing in and out, overstock, and concrete activities and non-central shortages.
  • Work with the agreed global and local Key Performance Indicators, focusing particularly on achieving high goods availability at the lowest total cost.
  • Responsible for personal development in partnership with the Sales and Supply Support Manager, continually improving work competence to execute tasks based on agreed SOP and working methods.
  • Work in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations, and local legislation relating to health, safety, and security, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize individual work duties to make the most efficient use of time available.
  • Flexible approach to daily tasks and ability to adapt to unpredictable situations.
  • Good personal discipline and commitment to delivering results.
  • Knowledge of the IKEA business model and operations.
