Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor

As a Senior Legal Advisor on the Ethics & Compliance team, you will lead the ethics and compliance program in LATAM and support the global team on managing compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Embody and promote our culture of process improvement, focusing on streamlining processes and adding value to our business.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for ethics and compliance support in the region, providing pragmatic and timely advice on ethics and compliance issues.
  • Conduct training independently for employees and ICON vendors, developing training materials and monitoring training progress.
  • Identify ethics and compliance matters that require follow-up or investigation.
  • Assist in internal investigations arising in LATAM.
  • Manage legal regulatory requests and investigations in LATAM.
  • Build relationships with regional business leads to partner on compliance issues.
  • Provide regional LATAM support for global compliance initiatives.
  • Review and advise on compliance contractual terms.
  • Provide legal advice on vendor compliance issues.
  • Assist in the review of compliance disclosure requests.
Lead and manage ICON's Ethics and Compliance Operations, globally, which includes:
  • Policy Management
  • Ethics and Compliance Training
  • Communications Strategy
  • Audit and RFI Defense
  • Maintenance of mailbox and other centralized resources
  • Internal team training
  • Team Metrics and Monitoring
  • Billing and Invoicing
Assist Compliance Monitoring Manager in reviewing, tracking, and reporting on compliance monitoring controls within the business.Requirements:
  • 3 years + PQE (Qualified Lawyer PQE)
  • Relevant working experience in ethics and compliance and/or compliance operations
  • A good understanding of legal, regulatory and risk management concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
  • Able to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and logical.
  • Proficient in common computer applications.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment in a high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
