About the Role

ZF Friedrichshafen AG is seeking a highly skilled Applications Platform Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SAP platform services, ensuring seamless integration with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT workstreams regarding applications requirements, including servers, software releases, agents, and security topics.
  • Coordinate and manage shared services on applications, such as job scheduling, platform security services, monitoring, and consulting.
  • Initiate and steer projects to develop existing SAP platform services or create new services and related operational processes.
  • Manage external Application Hosting Service Providers, ensuring efficient SLA monitoring, budget management, and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot reported issues by IT applications teams and involve necessary IT teams as required.
  • Manage app registrations and certificates.
  • Implement, govern, coordinate, consult, and run middleware platforms on MES or SAP systems.
  • Expertise in MII-MES infrastructure, SAP landscape, and job monitoring cloud platforms.
  • Consult and support customers and users based on their use cases.
  • Enhance production service areas to enable new application technologies and Industry 4.0 processes, working with the expert team 'Production service areas'.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or engineering.
  • Solid base on IT infrastructure, including networking and servers management.
  • Critical thinking, communication, and research skills.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and interfaces with enterprise systems.
