Scrum Master

We are seeking an exceptional Scrum Master to join our team at Cognizant. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in leading and planning project implementation from initiation to closure using agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead and plan project implementation from initiation to closure using agile frameworks.
- Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, create robust project plans, and drive engagement towards successful completion.
- Issue and Risk Management: Monitor and track action items through to closure, record and manage all decisions, risks, or issues.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate project resources to drive performance and career paths into the project.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous process improvements by promoting and highlighting successful experiences.
- Customer Escalation: Act as a key contact for the customer and escalation point for project issues.
- Project Acceptance: Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and its acknowledgment by the customer.
- Team Guidance: Guide and coach the team on how to use Agile practices, correct use of each of the ceremonies, guide the team on how to do the estimations, and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to the customers.
- Backlog and Sprint Planning: Provide guidance to Product Owner / Business Analyst and team on maintaining backlog and sprint planning or if necessary, take actions to create user stories directly either technical or business.
- Program Iteration Planning: Facilitate preparation and readiness for Program Iteration (PI) planning and follow-up.
- Collaboration: Ensure strong collaboration with Scrum Coordinators (Scaled Scrum) and Software Quality Assurance.
- Business and Technical Calls: Interact with business and technical calls, serving as primary POC to understand and take immediate actions.
- Software Development Experience: Direct experience leading all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Technical Acumen: Technical acumen on any of the technologies related to software/product development.
- Agile Framework Experience: Experience working on agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban).
- Technology Familiarity: Familiarity with backend, frontend, DevOps, and Cloud technologies.
- Project Management: Experience running multiple projects simultaneously with cross-team dependencies.
- Customer Collaboration: Experience working with senior level customer collaborators.
- Problem Solving: Able to take a consultative approach ensuring scope and project boundaries are maintained.
- Communication Skills: Problem solver who seeks the best solutions for customers.
- Team Leadership: Able to work creatively to solve different problems for multiple teams.
- Proactivity: Proactive and independent approach to assigned tasks and discovered issues.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading technical people and acting as Manager of them.
- Language Proficiency: English language proficiency.
