Role Purpose

The Regional Lean Manufacturing Transformation Leader will lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing strategies across the Americas region. This will involve working closely with site leaders to identify areas for improvement and implementing process changes to drive cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Capability Building

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing their own capabilities through participation in assessment and development planning activities, as well as formal and informal training and coaching. They will also be expected to maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Procedural Improvement

The Regional Lean Manufacturing Transformation Leader will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of procedural improvements across the region. This will involve working closely with site leaders to identify areas for improvement and implementing process changes to drive quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Project Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects across the region, including the development and implementation of lean manufacturing strategies. They will also be expected to report to senior colleagues and provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at agreed review points.

Project Reporting and Review

The Regional Lean Manufacturing Transformation Leader will be responsible for managing the project review process, including the preparation and coordination of data and analytics reports. They will also be expected to provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at agreed review points.

Network of Influence

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating actively in the development and nurturing of networks and relationships internally and externally to support the successful implementation of digital initiatives.

Training Development and Delivery

The Regional Lean Manufacturing Transformation Leader will be responsible for designing and developing content for training courses to fill gaps in established programs, as well as running complex or customized training courses to improve employee performance.

Insights and Reporting

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and coordinating the completion of various data and analytics reports, including the development of insights and recommendations for stakeholders.

The Regional Lean Manufacturing Transformation Leader will be responsible for implementing the formal development framework for a team, with guidance from senior colleagues. They will also be expected to provide informal coaching to others throughout the organization in their area of expertise.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role and multi-site management experience
  • Partnering corporate functions
  • Experience in the automotive or metalmechanical industry
  • English advanced, Portuguese desired
  • Visa and travel availability required
