We are seeking a highly skilled Royalty Reporting Manager to join our DC Comics Royalties team at Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret contractual agreements to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prepare and review royalty/participation statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Respond to inquiries on royalty statements and work with the technology team to identify and test royalty system enhancements.
- Perform current and historical data analysis to verify reporting accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Research abnormalities using SAP and/or other line-of-business components to review underlying transactional activity.
- Provide feedback to preparers to make changes and correct errors, as needed.
- Support ad-hoc and special projects, including identifying system enhancements, assisting in design and testing, and presenting to management and staff.
- Train other employees and participate in Business Unit meetings to address questions, discuss process improvements, and changing business needs.
- 5+ years of previous accounting, audit, or financial related experience.
- 3+ years of experience with royalties, participations, or residuals.
- Publishing or entertainment industry related experience strongly preferred.
- Senior business analyst or financial analyst experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Information Systems preferred).
- Very strong to expert competency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong planning and organizational skills required.
- Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks required.
- Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts and legal agreements.
- Strong math and algebra skills required.
