Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at FCA. As a key member of our supplier development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of components and materials supplied to our manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support at supplier locations and manufacturing plants to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing, to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of quality-first methodology in the supplier sourcing process to ensure the selection of capable suppliers.
- Lead problem-solving activities with internal and external organizations to resolve component issues and drive warranty reduction.
- Manage key quality milestones and ensure that component suppliers' processes are robust and capable.
- Develop and present program status updates and articulate open issues to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven 5 years of experience minimum in a similar position.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Knowledgeable in GD&T, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and World Class Manufacturing.
- Understanding and use of structured problem-solving techniques, SPC, and data interpretation.
- Ability to travel within Mexico.
