About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Intelligence Analyst to join our team at British American Tobacco. As a Commercial Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our business strategy by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive company profiling, track macroeconomic trends, and analyze industry information to support strategic decision-making.
- Execute and regularly maintain financial analysis models pertaining to marketing investment, promotional spend, and pricing forecast.
- Track monthly Marlin and RSD actual price points and update pricing forecast models accordingly.
- Revamp and maintain pricing forecast dashboard by different metrics, such as key accounts, states, and chains.
- Extract relevant information from systems, such as MicroStrategy and dashboards, and update the team on commercial KPIs, performance, and state-level views.
- Extract data from competition portals to maintain and update key promotional activities dashboard/cycle plan for the competition.
- Serve the Competitive Insights and Analysis team as a support member by synthesizing external and internal information and disseminating key findings to the team.
- Centralize critical business information by coordinating with internal and external teams, ensuring seamless communication and data integration across the organization.
- Perform ad-hoc queries related to strategic exercises, such as wargaming and planning workshops, on a need basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related area.
- 1+ years of experience in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related area.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI for interpreting complex datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop and market research to optimize processes and identify growth opportunities.
- Financial modeling and forecasting skills to analyze financial models, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning.
