We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team at Finastra. As a key member of our Cloud Operations team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting our Global Payments Plus (GPP) product suite of servers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering and operations, with a minimum of 10 years of IT experience and 5+ years of experience in Azure environments. You will be responsible for building Linux and Windows servers using automation tools and standalone manual mode, working with version-control products, and managing server keys, SPNs, and key vaults in Azure portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Linux and Windows servers using automation tools and standalone manual mode.
- Work with version-control products, install and configure server builds.
- Manage server keys, SPNs, and key vaults in Azure portal.
- Manage hardware failover for DR tests.
- Create and configure standard server monitoring for each build.
- Create and manage custom monitors as needed per client.
- Understand Site24x7 monitoring tool for both hardware monitors and APM.
- Demonstrate monitoring solution to new and existing clients.
- Create and maintain documentation of detailed technical operations and procedures.
- Analyze existing workflow environments and assist with configuring new installations to fit into workflow models.
- Be available for periodic off-hours support and installations via remote access.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud engineering/operations (Azure).
- Experience of using different automation tools.
- 5+ years hands-on expertise of working with Azure environments.
- Good understanding of user roles and permissions in a network environment.
- Excellent proficiency with standard Unix and Windows interfaces.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Good documentation, organization, and follow-up skills required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot quickly and efficiently.
- Must be capable of collaboratively working with project managers and automation team in a consistent, courteous, and conscientious manner.
- Due to extensive customer interaction via phone, excellent social and listening skills are required.
