Job Overview

A skilled Purchasing Project Buyer will join our international and multidisciplinary teams to implement new and/or serial optimization projects for the automotive division, focusing on power-train products.

This role requires strong collaboration between purchasing & supplier quality teams, our Business Units who are the product development owners, and external business partners (vendors).

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and approving samples & parts for serial business, organizing technical meetings with Bosch multidisciplinary teams and vendors, and ensuring the achievement of milestones and reporting in different horizontal & vertical lines.

The goal is to achieve the best overall cost and on-time project implementation by involving internal and external teams. The ideal candidate will achieve assigned goals on time, cost, and quality, and actively contribute to the identification and implementation of cost reduction ideas and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and approval of samples & parts for serial business
  • Organizing technical meetings with Bosch multidisciplinary teams and vendors
  • Securing the achievement of milestones and reporting in different horizontal & vertical lines
  • Collaborating with purchasing & supplier quality teams and Business Units
  • Actively contributing to cost reduction ideas and business growth
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, including working for automotive companies
  • High proficiency in English (writing, listening, and oral)
  • Hard skills: understanding of purchasing processes for sourcing and release of new parts, SAP usage, working with international multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers, project management, cost structure, and negotiation
  • Soft skills: teamwork and cooperation, effective communication, result-oriented, self-leadership
  • Flexibility for traveling: locally 1-2 times/month, International (US, DE) 1 time/year
