About the Role

As a Database Cloud Architect at Capgemini, you will play a key role in designing and implementing Oracle Cloud databases that meet the highest standards of performance, availability, and security.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team as a Database Cloud Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Cloud databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, and maintain Oracle Cloud databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Implement and maintain database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize database schema and SQL queries.
  • Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
  • Manage database user accounts, access controls, DB Links, Sched Jobs.
  • Stay current with Oracle Cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a Cloud Environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security best practices in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year.
