About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team at Engie, responsible for ensuring the safe and complete execution of all activities related to Project Controls for the Cuxtal II project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of cost estimating, cost monitoring, risk management, governance, document control, Peer Review coordination, planning & scheduling, and reporting to align with the project business objectives and execution strategies.
  • Develop and implement planning, estimating, and scheduling standards, procedures, and reference documentation.
  • Participate in project cost and schedule development and reviews.
  • Prepare budgets, track, and forecast budgets.
  • Lead the identification of project control system objectives, development of strategies, and implementation of same to provide the cost and schedule information required by management.
  • Lead the selection and development of estimating software tools and cost estimating databases.
  • Monitor the performance of various contractors.
  • Maintain the project risk register.
  • Prepare monthly project progress reports for management.
  • Identify potential issues, risks, and trends in a timely manner such that the Project Manager can take appropriate action.
  • Provide direction to members of the Project Controls team.
  • Guide and direct resolution of project difficulties and complex project control issues.
  • Interact with the Project Management team and Corporate management team and participate in regular project meetings.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project controls team members are interfacing with engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction on concepts and relationships to the scope of work.

  • Strong analytical skills to review all project controls information and ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to identify issues, concerns, and potential mitigations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in project controls, cost estimation, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practices.
