Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clearance Specialist to join our team at Federal Express, Inc. As a Clearance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of freight and customs processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Specialist Knowledge: Utilize your expertise to perform and review specific processes and procedures within and across departments, supporting the achievement of regional, divisional, and corporate goals.
  • Design and Implement Processes: Participate/lead in the design, development, and implementation of processes within your area of expertise, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
  • Customs Documentation: Prepare internal customs documents to enable the import/export processes for packages arriving/departing via aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manifest Preparation: Prepare international manifests to ensure responsive and efficient customs clearance is possible, minimizing delays and costs.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain all customs documentation well organized and properly filed, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  • Sorting and Retrieval: Perform sorting, baggage support at airport and station, and retrieve air freight from carriers as required, ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (450 TOEIC points)
  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience in a freight/cargo customs environment
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of FedEx applications (VISA, CAGE, COSMOS) required; CRT experience preferred.
  • Skills: Good human relations, interpersonal, and communication skills; Accuracy & Attention to Detail; General office skills; Microsoft Office & PC Skills; Strong Problem-Solving Skills; Clear and articulate speaking voice; Analytical Skills; Judgment & Decision-Making Skills.
