Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Ge Corporate. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for executing statutory payments and local taxes, including developing an in-depth understanding of relevant P&B systems, processes, policies, and legislative rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 100% of payroll deliverables are provided in an accurate manner, based on calendars defined by our organization.
  • Responsible for the quality of payroll reports, labor accruals, monthly closing, benefits contributions, statutory requirements, social security payments, and electronic accounting (as applicable).
  • Assure jointly with Finance and Statutory and C&C Team, obligations are being executed on time, accurate, and in compliance (Statutory Payments and Local Taxes).
  • Analyze payroll accounting data to deliver to the accounting team.
  • Prepare operating forecasts template, PAP JE ́s submission, and all payroll payments based on calendars.
  • Printing checks, collect signatures, and guaranteeing final delivery (as applicable).
  • Follow up to costing string synch (WD-Payroll System).
  • Discussion of technical accounting issues.
  • Active support in internal and external payroll & benefits audits to mitigate company financial and contribution risks.
  • Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage service delivery metrics and/or third-party supplier performance in relation to the assigned process(s).
  • Participate in Continues Improvement Projects according to Business needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and provide cross-functional guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage interactions with vendors and customers for our day-to-day.
  • Drive productivity and compliance ensuring teams provide "World Class" customer service and advise on complex questions/requests from employees, businesses, and HR partners.
  • Provide Payroll queries support (T2 inqueries).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an university or college in HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area.
  • English & Spanish oral and written skills.
  • Able to legally work in Mexico.
  • Solid understanding of local statutory payroll rules and accounting reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated organization and analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in the Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, and/or Service Delivery.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Lean, Continuous improvement, project management skills.
  • ERP Knowledge. (PNC, Oracle, Bank Portals)
