This Role

Key Responsibilities
  • As a Collections Analyst, you will serve as the primary internal strategic and analytical resource, working closely with country managers and finance teams. Your key responsibility will be to analyze and interpret data sets related to the collections process, including portfolio segmentation.
  • Develop business recommendations based on data analysis, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Integrate diverse data sources to derive comprehensive conclusions, driving operational efficiencies.
  • Automate and simplify collections processes to minimize invested time and human errors.
  • Prepare and deliver program status updates and presentations to internal stakeholders and the executive leadership team as needed.
  • Apply a technical mindset to identify operational drivers and optimize collections strategies.
  • Implement best practices in collections management.
  • Specialize in portfolio segmentation and statistical analysis for collections, providing actionable insights.
  • Develop expertise in creating reports in Mode, monitoring results, and integrating databases to compare outcomes across countries, agencies, and experiments.
  • Propose new strategies and experiments based on your experience and initiative, driving business growth.
  • Measure the impact of unit economics using existing data, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Actuary, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or Statistics.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience working in Collections or Data departments, preferably in a medium-sized financial institution.
  • Proficiency in collections tools and technologies.
  • Excellent top-down communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Advanced English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Advanced knowledge of tools for managing large data sources and visualization, such as SQL, Snowflake, and PowerBI.
  • Experience with CRM tools for Collections is a plus.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in high-growth fintech startups.
  • Experience in the BI department of a major collections agency.
  • Experience in Agile settings.
  • Specialization in one or more Collections tools.
  • Exposure to voice CRM tools.
