Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineering Technician to join our team at Jabil Malaysia. As an Industrial Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Calibration and Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment (IM&TE) including software to ensure accurate measurements and minimize measurement uncertainty.
  2. Team Collaboration: Participate in and accept responsibilities relating to a team concept, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  3. Equipment Selection: Select appropriate inspection, measuring and test equipment for use as calibration standards, ensuring the required measurement capability and accuracy.
  4. Calibration Procedures: Develop and maintain written calibration procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in calibration processes.
  5. Quality Control: Identify, evaluate and calibrate all inspection, measuring and test equipment that can affect product quality, ensuring compliance with nationally recognized standards.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain calibration records for inspection, measuring and test equipment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  7. Discrepancy Reporting: Report discrepancies when inspection, measuring and test equipment performance results are unsatisfactory, ensuring prompt corrective action.
  8. Safety and Security: Safeguard inspection, measuring and test equipment from adjustments that would invalidate the calibration setting, ensuring the integrity of the equipment and the safety of personnel.
  9. Environmental Monitoring: Perform environmental monitoring and microbiological laboratory activities according to established procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Procedure Development: Develop and maintain written laboratory procedures as needed, ensuring consistency and accuracy in laboratory activities.
  11. Shift Work: Be able to work all shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required by the business.
  12. Safety Training: Attend required safety training, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  13. Safety Promotion: Promote safety to all associates that enter the work area, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  14. EMS Implementation: Participate in the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS), including continual improvement, pollution prevention, objectives and targets, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  1. Education: Associate's degree or technical certificate in instrumentation and process control technology, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: 6-8 years' experience in technical industrial manufacturing or laboratory environment, preferably with experience in electrical and chemical laboratory settings.
  3. Skills: Interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, good communication (written and verbal) skills, knowledge in process controls and EES documentation systems, computer knowledge and proficiency, and working knowledge of GMP/ISO requirements for documentation.
