About the Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at IBM. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, tax information, and compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of vendor master data to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain data governance standards and processes for vendor master data.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality, integrity, and consistency across vendor master data systems.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including procurement, accounts payable, and finance, to ensure alignment on vendor data requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory requirements related to vendor master data management and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems for vendor master data maintenance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • B2 to C1 proficiency in English and native fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
