We are seeking a full-time CAD Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing allocated volumes and interfaces for subsystems/components within the Digital Mock-Up.
  • Executing detailed designs for internal subsystems.
  • Creating 3D models, design annotations, and 2D deliverables while adhering to quality, cost, and delivery commitments, as well as established rules and processes.
  • Completing attributes for each component in the Digital Mock-Up (such as naming, material specifications, fire and smoke ratings, etc.).
  • Ensuring the consistency of the digital mock-up (checking for clashes, etc.) and verifying compliance with requirements (allocated volumes, weight, interfaces, etc.) within the assigned scope.
  • Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews in accordance with N+1 guidelines.
  • Updating the Digital Mock-Up in response to Change Requests.
  • Evaluating the design quality of other CADs and subcontractors.
  • Conducting stack-up analyses.
  • Generating Bills of Material.

Contributions:

  • Suggesting design optimizations in terms of weight and cost.
  • Assisting manufacturing teams during production ramp-up phases.
  • Collaborating with the Mechanical Domain Leader to foster continuous improvement of processes.

Candidate Profile:
We prioritize enthusiasm and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in CATIA.
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, written and spoken.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with third parties (customers).
  • Effective time management and reporting abilities.
  • A sense of urgency and prioritization.
  • A structured and organized approach with a hands-on mentality.
  • Competence in 3D modeling, drawing standards, and stack-up analysis.
