Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Credit Underwriting is responsible for leading a team of credit analysts and underwriters to evaluate and manage credit risk for Citigroup Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis, commercial credit authority, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of credit analysts and underwriters to evaluate and manage credit risk for Citigroup Inc.
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citigroup's risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as risk management and compliance, to ensure alignment with company-wide risk management strategies.
  • Perform in-depth financial statement analysis to manage new and existing relationships with exposures in addition to high-risk credits.
  • Integrate in-depth credit operations knowledge with a solid knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Use judgment to complete more complex credit transactions with direct business impact.
  • Oversee credit application process to include credit verification and assess credit limits.
  • Perform analysis of credit reports, financials, etc. to provide the status on credit and operating statements.
  • Apply analytical thinking and knowledge of credit analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Requirements
  • 6-10 years previous credit analysis experience required.
  • Previous commercial credit authority preferred.
  • Good corporate and merchant credit and exposure analysis skills.
  • Previous demonstrated ability to read and interpret commercial credit bureaus, analyze trade experience, and utilize external financial resources to underwrite commercial credit requests is required.
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
