Autonomous Process Automation Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled RPA Developer to join our team at Cognizant. As an RPA Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on Power Automate. Experience with other leading automation platforms, such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere, is also desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. They must have hands-on experience in at least one programming language, such as .Net, Java, VB, C#, HTML/CSS, Python, Web Services, mainframe, web applications, SQL, data integration tools, and technical automation tools. Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of process design documents and technical design documents within the automation space.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the development environment, including software installation and related technologies such as Splunk/logging
  • Assessing automation opportunities from a technical perspective and performing due diligence to arrive at an optimal solution
  • Creating and maintaining the Solution Design Document (SDD) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Translating business requirements, current and future state process designs into robotic solutions using core workflow principles that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable, and easy to understand
  • Supporting UAT and rollout phases
  • Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the Tech Lead/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Resolving defects and other performance problems discovered in testing
  • Supporting go-live roll out
  • Supporting issue resolution that arises in day-to-day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
  • Creation of access control interfaces via the Application Modeler, within Object Studio
  • Development of business logic within code-stages in languages within the .NET family
  • Input into solution integration design using Web Services / RESTFUL API access
  • Conducting component testing on the solution
