Service Operations Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Operations Team Member to join our team at Delta Hotels by Marriott.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage services. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas to maintain a clutter-free environment.
- Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes efficiently.
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing as needed.
- Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue effectively.
- Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware to ensure it is clean and ready for use.
- Breakdown dirty bus tubs and empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area to prevent unsanitary conditions.
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Dispose of glass in the proper containers to prevent breakage and injury.
- Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin to support sustainable practices.
- Fully understand and comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management promptly.
- Complete safety training and certifications to ensure knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
- Protect company assets and report any incidents or losses to management.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests using clear and professional language.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Meet quality expectations and standards by adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
- Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods to complete tasks efficiently.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to access storage areas and equipment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
