Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Sr. Manager, PMO Compute DRAM. As a key member of our Program Management Office (PMO), this individual will be responsible for leading a team of Program Managers and driving the development of DRAM products from planning to qualification and ramp.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Leading a team of Program Managers within the DRAM PMO organization and guiding the development of DRAM products from planning to qualification and ramp.
  • Achieving program targets and goals as captured in project release documents, including schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness, and budget.
  • Participating in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and Stage Gate (SG) reviews of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.
  • Assigning programs to Program Managers and guiding them through necessary steps prior and after project approval.
  • Setting up and tracking training for team members and providing coaching to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participating in long-term planning activities, such as DRAM roadmap development and NPI process improvements, within the PMO and SBO organizations.
  • Driving lessons learned workshops to ensure knowledge proliferation and standard methodologies across the company.
  • Capturing product requirements, aligning with BU, Engineering, and Operations functions, and establishing a Scope of Record (SOR) prior to SG2.
  • Developing and publishing a ProChain-based schedule, monitoring the plan throughout the project, and driving required actions and follow-ups.
  • Working with NPI representatives across the company on sample delivery plans for Early Sample/Qualification Sample (ES/QS).
  • Setting up and directing a Product Development Team (PDT) and conducting regular meetings to track project progress and drive project execution.
  • Identifying and making decisions, advancing decisions beyond the scope of the PDT in a timely manner, and managing ongoing and active risk and change requests.
  • Driving product qualification and ramp, as well as hand-off to sustaining PDTs according to the handoff process.
  • Providing regular (weekly) reporting of program status to leadership and coordinating and leading report outs at work reviews and program reviews.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:



  • Previous experience in program management and the ability to drive complex development projects.
  • A strong engineering background in the semiconductor industry, ideally with a good understanding of memory product development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to quickly analyze data and information.
  • A self-aligned, outspoken, and results-driven approach with the ability to get things done following a structured approach.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or system development.
  • A BS degree or equivalent engineering degree.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Micron Technology, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and a generous paid time off policy.


Location

This position is based in Boise, Idaho, with potential for travel domestically and internationally.
