Overview

The role involves overseeing temporary inventory management to guarantee the compliant and efficient execution of all import and export activities. This includes validating transactions between the customs system and SAP to adhere to current customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing inventory reconciliation processes in accordance with annex 24.
  • Assessing temporary import balances within the customs system.
  • Monitoring discrepancies between annex 24 and SAP, and making necessary adjustments between the systems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret relevant information, including BOM, parts, and work orders.
  • Updating and implementing modifications across both systems.
  • Ensuring effective operational trade compliance and timely reporting of risks associated with import-export activities.
  • Managing various import-export processes (temporary, definitive, virtual, regimen changes, returns).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English (80% or higher).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the customs sector within the maquiladora industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Customs Law, relevant rules, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated expertise in customs legislation (LA, IMMEX, RLA, LCE, LIVA, OEA, CFF).
  • Proven ability to focus on project work and effectively complete projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Extensive experience with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
