Key Responsibilities- Evaluate designs upstream and provide input to ensure efficient integration into production with minimal time and labor, and high quality and repeatability.
- Ensure level of effort estimates for manufacturing and assembly of new designs and customer change orders are provided for assessment of manufacturing cost.
- Stabilize new products from R&D into Production by working proactively with stakeholders and team members.
- Identify and record root causes of technical issues in production and develop solutions to fix problems.
- Interact with project teams for new product development, providing insights from technical issues of previous products.
- Recommend solutions for enhancing manufacturing efficiency.
- Lead design and deployment of Manufacturing work instructions.
- Create and maintain Process FMEAs and translate them into control plans.
- Design, integrate, and implement tooling, fixturing, and assembly-aid design.
- Investigate, purchase, and support the implementation of tooling and equipment for future strategic initiatives.
- Lead the analysis of all existing production processes, incorporating Lean principles.
- Provide technical expertise to manage cost, quality, and customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with government regulations.
- Manage the entire capital investment process for applicable business areas.
- Own machine and people capacity analysis for the applicable APU.
