Quality Assurance Manager

Tecma is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality management system and ensure the production and delivery of defect-free products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing day-to-day quality activities for both Block and Shape departments.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Management: Ensure compliance to the quality management system and implement processes to prevent defects and non-conformities.
- Leadership: Direct and supervise Quality personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
- Communication: Communicate product testing needs with Quality Assurance and production teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective problem-solving.
- Reporting: Provide monthly reports to the Corporate Director of Quality and Plant Manager, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for Quality personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Auditing and Calibration: Schedule and conduct monthly internal audits, ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements. Additionally, calibrate monitoring and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Quality Records: Maintain procedure books and forms, as well as file quality records according to the quality records table.
- Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of quality-related data.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate any quality concerns with the Plant Manager and Director of Quality, ensuring prompt resolution and effective problem-solving.
- Staffing and Training: Manage direct reports, oversee training programs, and interview candidates for quality positions.
- Corrective Action and Performance Appraisal: Conduct corrective action, disciplinary, and performance appraisal meetings, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of employees.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Manage staffing levels, approving time cards and time off requests, and ensuring adequate staffing to meet business needs.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required, as well as basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management System principles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, with a proven track record of success in ensuring quality and compliance.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, as well as experience with quality management systems and auditing.
- Competitive Salary: $5, $8,556.90 per week.
