Housekeeping Coordinator

Job Summary

As a Housekeeping Coordinator at Marriott International, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service in our properties. This role involves coordinating the efforts of the housekeeping team, managing room assignments, and resolving issues related to discrepant rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist in resolving issues related to discrepant rooms, working closely with the Front Desk and other departments.
• Prepare and distribute room assignments to housekeeping staff, ensuring that rooms are cleaned and ready for guests.
• Monitor and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms, ensuring that guests' preferences are respected.
• Ensure that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the necessary time and assign rush rooms and rooms previously on the 'Do Not Disturb' list.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

This role will be based in a hotel environment, with regular interactions with guests and hotel staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
