We're focused on reimagining healthcare applications to improve the user experience and ensure safe and effective use across roles and responsibilities. As a Lead Systems Designer within our team, you will identify and solve complex healthcare problems by collaborating closely with clinicians, developers, product management, and other UX associates.

You will work alongside the best of designers, product managers, and technologists to design solutions that organizations across the world use for their healthcare systems and operations. We are working on multiple ambitious new initiatives, and your work will have direct impact on both the user experience and the industry as we redefine this space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product managers to drive the roadmap for new components
  • Collaborate with product design teams to understand user needs, problems, and goals across diverse use cases
  • Partner with researchers and data scientists to gain insight to drive and improve designs
  • Work with other component designers to ensure cohesion and deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Articulate guiding principles to ground and inspire ideation, prototyping, and exploration of various design solutions
  • Design components with ingenious microinteractions, integrate with Oracle's growing Redwood Design System, prioritize accessibility, and respond across desktop and mobile experiences
  • Create interaction specifications using language, diagrams, and prototypes to describe component usage, anatomy, behavior, and configuration with clarity and detail
  • Develop usage guidelines and training materials to help others learn and use the design system
  • Partner closely with engineering teams from design to hand off and ensure components are implemented to specification

Required Qualifications and Traits:

  • You have 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering products
  • You're a full-stack user experience designer with experience in creating design systems
  • You thrive on working well with others, make the people around you better, and love to collaborate with designers, user researchers, engineers, product managers, executives, and inspire them to do their best
  • You get stuff done and are a fantastic storyteller who knows that our products tell our customers a story through the user experience
  • You love rules and know when to break them, think systemically because you know that creating a coherent experience requires it, but also know when to do something completely unique to create an arresting and product-defining moment in the product that makes users ooh and aah
  • You don't already know everything and love to learn, inspired by helping users solve their problems and consume large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to constantly refine your assumptions

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
